We service the following home ventilation equipment

Ventilation equipment servicing – MVHR

MVHR servicing – why should you service your MVHR annually?

Regular servicing and balancing an MVHR system is vital for maintaining its energy efficiency, performance, indoor air quality, and system longevity. Without regular maintenance, components like filters and heat exchangers become clogged with dirt, leading to reduced airflow, increased humidity, higher energy bills, and a greater risk of mould growth and accelerated wear and tear. Balancing ensures the correct amount of fresh and stale air is exchanged in each room, preventing pressure imbalances and ensuring optimal comfort and compliance with regulations and manufacturers guidance. Part F of the building regulations provides whole house ventilation rates and minimum extract rates.

As ventilation equipment servicing specialists we can service, commission and balance a range of MVHR’s systems.

Ventilation equipment servicing – Positive input ventilation (PIV)

PIV servicing – why should you service your PIV as per manufacturer servicing specifications?

Servicing your positive Input Ventilation (PIV) unit in your home is essential to maintain optimal performance, ensure good indoor air quality, and prevent costly repairs due to dampness and mould. Regular servicing includes cleaning and replacing filters together with checking air flow rates comply to the minimum whole house ventilation rates as per PART F of the building regulations. It will ensure that the PIV filters remove dust & pollen as well as reducing the accumulation of moisture that leads to condensation and mould. The system will efficiently brings in fresh, filtered air to displace stale air which will improve indoor air quality.

As ventilation equipment servicing specialists we can service and commission a range of PIV systems.

Extractor fans (Kitchen fan, bathroom fan, utility room fan and WC fans)

Extractor fan servicing – why should you service your Extractor fan annually?

Extractor fans play a crucial role in your bathroom and shower rooms. They maintain good air flow and improve ventilation, remove odours and remove excess moisture

If extractor fans are not serviced or maintained regularly, dust, pollen and dirt can block the fan, especially the blades. As bathroom and shower rooms are used constantly in any household, extractor fans do get quite dirty and very quickly. As a result, extractor fans (bathroom & kitchen) fail to function efficiently although they continue to consume electricity every time they are turned on.

Having both kitchen & bathroom extractor fans serviced regularly improves the whole house ventilation which once commissioned (should the airflow rates be achieved) will comply with PART F of the building regulations whole house ventilation rates.

It’s also very important all ducting/exterior grills are cleaned for maximum airflow rates.

Biocraft are ventilation equipment servicing specialists we can service and commission a range of PIV systems.
