Specialist Timber Surveys

A timber survey will identify the nature and cause of timber problems as well as determine the extent of any repairs or remediation works. Occasionally it will be necessary to carry out a further investigation to determine specific causes or the extent of a particular timber problem.

Following the timber survey, should you wish to proceed with the recommended treatment, it will be scheduled to start at a time that’s convenient to you. All work will be completed under the supervision of your appointed supervisor who will be responsible for the project until completion.

What happens during a timber survey?

Depending on the client instructions, a Biocraft surveyor will examine the property internally and externally. This is to assess the condition of the building and to identify defects that could lead to water ingress, damp conditions or other defects in timbers within the building. Timbers will be examined to determine their condition and the type and extent of any timber issues such as woodboring beetle infestation or fungal decay.
