Biocraft carries out specialist timber surveys of residential and commercial properties throughout Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Surrey and London. We cover Reading, Newbury, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Windsor, Ascot, Oxford, Basingstoke and West London
Biocraft are members of the Property Care Association (PCA) and as such all Biocraft timber surveyors are Certificated Surveyors in Remedial Treatment (CSRT) and Certificated Surveyors in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) and have many years experience in the assessment and idnetification of timber defects caused by fungal decay and woodboring beetle infestation.
Depending on the client instructions, a Biocraft surveyor will examine the property internally and externally to assess the condition of the building and to identify defects that could lead to water ingress leading to damp conditions or other defects in timbers in the building. Timbers will be examined to determine their condition and the type and extent of any timber issues such as woodboring beetle infestation or fungal decay.
The timber survey will determine the nature, cause and the extent of any areas that require repair or remediation works. Occasionally it will be necessary to carry out further investigations to determine specific cause or the extent of a particular timber problem.
Following the timber survey, should you wish to proceed with the recommended timber treatment works, it will be scheduled to start at a convenient time and will be completed under the supervision of the appointed project supervisor who will be responsible for the project until completion.
Biocraft are full members of the British Structural Waterproofing Association (BSWA) and the Property Care Association (formerly the British Wood Preserving and Damp proofing Association (BWPDA)), the Federation of Master Builders and Construction line.
