Biocraft carry out damp surveys of residential and commercial properties to investigate and determine the causes of dampness and mould growth. Biocraft surveyors are CSRT (Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatments) and CSSW (Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing) qualified and have a full range of the latest survey and damp analysis equipment available, including:
- Resistance and Capacitance electrical moisture meters
- Salt testing equipment
- Humidity meters and humidity box floor testing equipment
- Thermal imaging and laser thermometers
- Boroscopes and wall cavity survey equipment
- Chemical meters for % moisture content
- Humidity monitoring equipment and data loggers
- Rotating vane anemometers to measure extract fan air flow rates
Mould cleaning, Drying and Redecoration
Biocraft carries out mould removal, drying and cleaning services, followed by redecoration. Anti-fungal additives can be incorporated into the paints used for redecoration as an added barrier to the reoccurrence of mould growth.
Condensation Control
Biocraft can supply and install the following products for condensation control;
- Positive Input whole home ventilation systems
Low energy positive input ventilation systems will continuously dilute and displace vapour laden air in the home through natural leakage points that are found in all homes. This is replaced with fresh, drier and filtered air creating an environment in which severe condensation dampness cannot exist.
All positive input products come with a five year parts and labour warranty. - Extract fans
A range of high quality, Lo carbon Vent Axia and Nuaire extract fans are available. Each fan is tailored to the situation and duty requirements. Extract fans for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms are available in 240V or 12V as required. They are available in several configurations, including continuous trickle, run-on operation, humidistat control and proximity switching. - Passive Ventilation
Biocraft install several types of passive vents which provide draught free ventilation to individual rooms and areas. They are mounted on walls at high level to provide localised moisture transfer and do not require a power supply. - Thermal Lining
Thermal lining of external walls that are prone to condensation. Using high performance insulated composite lining systems, the thermal properties of external walls can be greatly improved, thus reducing heating costs and reducing the likelihood of condensation forming.
Biocraft are members of the Property Care Association (PCA), The Basement Waterproofing Association (BWA), The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) and Constructionline.
