SPECIALIST DAMP AND TIMBERS SURVEYS

Biocraft carries out specialist damp and timber surveys of residential and commercial properties throughout Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Surrey and London. We cover Reading, Newbury, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Windsor, Ascot, Oxford, and Basingstoke

All Biocraft damp surveyors and timber surveyors are Certificated Surveyors in Remedial Treatment (CSRT) and Certificated Surveyors in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW).

Depending on the client instructions, a Biocraft damp surveyor will examine the property internally and externally to assess the condition of the building and to identify defects that could lead to water ingress leading to damp conditions in the building. Our damp surveyors use an electrical moisture meter for wall profiling and for measuring the moisture content of timber. If required sampling of wall materials for laboratory quantitative moisture measurement can be carried out.

The nature, cause and the extent of any areas that require repair or remediation works will be assessed. Occasionally it will be necessary to carry out further investigations to determine specific cause or the extent of a particular problem.

The damp and timber report will be available for you to access electronically in the Biocraft online library. You will be provided with a username and password, which will enable you to view your survey report online. Alternatively the report can be emailed to you.

Should you wish to proceed with the recommended damp proofing or related works, it will be scheduled to start at a convenient time and will be completed under the supervision of the appointed project supervisor who will be responsible for the project until completion and hand over to the customer.
